The data of the base module (A7), part no. and flashware (FW) no. can be read out of the quick test or out of the control unit version in base module with STAR DIAGNOSIS.
The following complaints can occur on the above mentioned base modules in connection with the cited flashware (FW) no.:
1. During auxiliary heater operation
Ashtray illumination briefly brightens.
Cigarette lighter illumination briefly brightens.
Temporary undefined actuation of the function pin
(e.g. additional headlamps).
2. On vehicles with Code (FZ8) anti-theft alarm system (ATA [EDW]) without interior protection
Locking vehicle with remote several times leads to triggering of the alarm.
3. On vehicles with Code (EX3) FleetBoard telematic platform or with Code (EV0) communications interface (KOM)
Faulty overrun mode data in the FleetBoard evaluation.
Trailer ID cannot be read out through FleetBoard.
If one of these complaints occurs or if it is necessary to deactivate the fault recognition for the illumination of the trailer/semitrailer, the software (SW) of the base module (A7) must be changed. To do this you must have the STAR DIAGNOSIS CD as of 05/2004 and the SDflash release CD as of 05/2004. These are both delivered simultaneous.
Cost settlements are to be made using the damage code 53587ED. Only those control units within the above mentioned range may be programmed.
