MODEL 169, 171, 203, 209, 211, 219, 245 (except , 245.286)
Effective immediately: when replacing the rear SAM control unit (in rear) or
passenger SAM (model 169, 211, 219, 245), the battery no longer has to be disconnected. The "Disconnect/connect ground cable at battery" step can now be omitted.
Please make sure that the connector that has the circuit 30 connection is disconnected first when removing, and reconnected last when installing.
When replacing the driver's side SAM control unit , the battery must still be disconnected.
Plug positions where the connector with the circuit 30 connection must be plugged into:
- Model 171 Rear SAM plug position 3
- Model 169, 245 Passenger SAM plug position 3
- Model 203, 209 Rear SAM plug position 3
- Model 211, 219 Rear SAM plug position 3
- Model 211, 219 Passenger SAM plug position 1
