Service Information: Change to adaptation module as display computer

Due to technical development, the following "Adaptation module as display computer" (ADM-AR) (diagnosis versions 102) control units, are no longer shipped in the previous version:

- A 000 446 20 35

For all future orders the "Adaptation module 2 as display computer" (ADM2-AR) must be converted

in combination with the "Standard cable adapter" (Forschner company):

- A 000 446 50 35 (Adaptation module 2 as display computer)

- A 000 826 03 07 (Standard cable adapter)

The most important differences of the new control unit design are:

- Different number of plug pins,

- Modified pin assignment e.g. power supply to circuit 30, 15
and 31

- Outputs of specific components must be parameterized,

- Diagnosis version changed from 102 to 110

- Restricted function scope with "Standard cable adapter"

The connector and pin assignment of the new control unit must be adapted using the existing wiring diagrams and the
engine or vehicle-specific functions must be parameterized accordingly.

 Warning:

The "Adaptation module 2 as display computer" (ADM2-AR) with "Standard" cable adapter is not a universal solution and does not cover the entire ADM-AR scope.

This solution only covers functions that are covered by the "Standard" cable adapter (see cable adapter pinout diagram below).

For more comprehensive applications, another adapted cable adapter has to be made.

Change of pin assignment in combination with "Standard cable adapter"

In accordance with the table ADM2-AR with "Standard cable adapter" supports the function that the previous "ADM-AR" pins also supported.

Necessary parameter changes:

- 11/01 Foot throttle actuator instead of 1->0 (no foot throttle actuator)

- 14/01 REL 3 = 8 (coolant temperature warning lamp)

- 14/10 REL 4 = 7 (engine oil pressure warning lamp)
