Due to recent events we must point out that the hand-operated pump (7) on the fuel prefilter is only intended for filling the system with fuel as required after maintenance or a filter change. The bleed screw (6) must be opened during the filling process and it must be closed again after bleeding of the filter unit.

Since the fuel system bleeds itself after the next engine start, the hand-operated pump should not be used further. This causes unnecessary stress and damage to the hand-operated pump.
