Due to recent events we would point out that with immediate effect it is essential to proceed in accordance with the changed tightening specifications when installing the brake carrier.

The mounting bolts must be tightened in 2 stages and in a specified sequence.

This ensures that the brake lining has sufficient clearance at all times and does not jam in the carrier pocket.

The changed repair instructions "Remove/install brake carrier with brake caliper " and the newly prepared document "Tightening procedure for brake carrier" are to be published with the WIS version 02/2010.
