For the HL2 conversion axle, model 742.505, new brake disks, brake calipers and pads have been integrated into standard production.

In the event of repairs to the model 742.501 axle (tubular axle shaft), the following must be noted:

Brake calipers: the new brake calipers for 16" and 17.5"

wheel hubs are compatible with the previous standard parts.

Following the consumption of the old version of the 16" and 17.5" brake caliper, the left AND the right brake calipers generally have to be replaced when the replacement of a brake caliper on the rear axle up to axle terminal no. P353504 for 16" and axle terminal no. P352856 for 17.5" becomes necessary.

Reason: Modified internal gear ratio of the automatic parking brake adjustment unit and the different resulting parking brake forces.

Brake pad: the new brake pad is also compatible with the previous standard part, and can be used on the front and rear axle.

Continue to use (until consumed) the previous standard brake pad, TN A 002 420 57 20, ONLY on the front axle. Following the consumption of the old stocks, the new brake pad is also valid for the front axle.

Brake disks: the new brake disks for 16" and 17.5" wheel hubs must ONLY be used for rear axle model 742.505.

On replacement of the brake disks on a rear axle with ABS, the brass rings (rotor) must also be replaced.

Usage data for the new wheel brake are as follows:

16" brake caliper: as of axle terminal no.: P353505

17.5" brake caliper: as of axle terminal no.: P352857

Cost procedure:

via the normal warranty and goodwill channel. Costs for the necessary second brake caliper via warranty without ESKULAB enquiry.

Damage code no.: 42 910 65 under the key word: "Bremsreparatur" (brake repair) according to STIN 42.15L007.
