As of November 2011 the software-based tire pressure loss warning (code 477) shall be available for retrofitting subject to a charge for the above-mentioned models.

Information is available in the "After-Sales Portal" at

"Info Center" "PIT After-Sales" "Parts" "Genuine parts" "Cars" "Retrofitting".

The tire pressure loss warning can be ordered by quoting the VIN through the parts ordering process using the cited part number. Once the order has been received the code in "VeDoc" is checked and enabled by the technical parts advisory service.

The tire pressure loss warning can be enabled using the SCN coding of the SAM/CWG, and activated in line with the corresponding WIS document (see AR, Group 54.30).

A direct code entry in the "VeDoc" while bypassing the ordering process and a fitting check is unacceptable and will be invoiced to the respective operation retroactively.

Processing duration in GLC:

Receipt of order by 11:00 a.m.,

Enabling by no later than 4:00 p.m. on the same day.

Order received between 11:00 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.,

Enabling by no later than 11:00 p.m. on following day.
