Modification notes
With the introduction of the A190 (168.032), the following optional wheel/tire combinations have also been integrated for models 168.7/ 008/ 031/ 033 with amendment 04 to the EG type approval:
205/45 R 16 83H M0 on 6.5 J x 16 H2 ET 56 wheel rim, Continental, Dunlop, Goodyear, Michelin or Pirelli only.
Only summer tires which have been specially attuned to the A-class, with the identification "M0", may be installed.
The use of these tires is also technically safe in vehicles which have been manufactured or delivered beforehand. The registration papers must be amended accordingly.
195/50 R 16 tires are not permissible in the case of the above mentioned models due to excessive speedometer deviations.
Installation is also possible in the 5 l version (5 l consumption) of the A160 CDI (control code P09 Germany only) as of initial registration 1.1.2000 with simultaneous modification of the exhaust gas code No. to "30", as tax benefits have been dispensed with as of this date. Tires with the dimensions 195/50 R 15 and 185/55 R 15 are still prohibited in the A160 CDI 5 l due to excessive speedometer deviation.
