We are finding repeatedly that during warranty investigations wheel bearings are being submitted with a fitter's report of noise. These bearings do not exhibit any damage and after reinstallation are also inconspicuous in terms of noise.

We would therefore like to give you help in the form of a guideline when diagnosing supposed wheel bearing damage.

As defective tires can also cause grinding noise, this point is also handled in the guidelines.
