Service Information: Conversion of air compressor when replacing suction lamella

Suction lamella damage

 Due to recent events we ask you to please remember that in the event of any suction lamella damage (arrow) for engines with 1-cylinder air compressor, not only the suction lamella (1) is replaced, but also a conversion to another cylinder head variant is necessary. An adapted resonator version is to be used in this context.

 All, parts required for the conversion such as intake manifold (2), resonator (3) and air compressor cylinder head (4), are contained in the conversion parts kit Q 6002205.

 Through the conversion to the shortened air compressor cylinder head, an adaptation piece (5) is required between the air compressor cylinder head and vehicle supply line for the compressed air connection (6). The adaptation piece (5) is to be procured through the vehicle manufacturer.

 During the term of warranty a total of 2 hours can be invoiced for the conversion time. Outside the term of warranty the customer shall bear the costs. For the conversion the damage code 13008, damage type 04, repair type 7 is to be entered into the system.
