In the event of engine running complaints and/or implausible crankshaft signals, it is possible to clean the pulse wheel using adapter.
If there are dirt particles, e.g. clutch wear debris or small metal shavings on the pulse wheel of the crankshaft, these can be suctioned out through the bore of the crankshaft position sensor using adapter in combination with a workshop vacuum cleaner. In doing so, the engine must be slowly cranked by hand (observe direction of rotation). Afterwards, an additional cleaning process can be performed using the cleaning brush which is inserted through the adapter.
Cleaning of the pulse wheel must only be performed with the specified adapter.
Otherwise, the pulse wheel can be damaged.
