83-6082 Testing, removal and installation of spark generator
Note
The spark generator must never be tested without a discharger.
Testing, removal and installation
-------------------------------
1 Adjust spark electrodes (83-6073).
2 Unscrew spark generator (1) and disconnect the plug connection of the brown and black cables (arrows).
3 Connect black cable to positive and brown cable to negative system voltage; a spark must occur between the spark electrodes.
Caution
Do not touch spark electrodes.
4 Disconnect cable from current source.
5 Disconnect glow plug connectors (2).
6 Remove high voltage cable (3) by turning anticlockwise.
7 Remove spark generator (1).
8 Install parts in reverse sequence.
