29.5-065 Removal and installation of brake pedal

Removal and installation

1 Remove left-hand foot mat.

2 Remove trim above brake pedal.

3 Remove steering shaft trim.

4 Disconnect 2-pin plug connection on stop lamp switch (5).

5 Unhook spring (6).

6 Unlock collared pin (2) and remove with washer (4).

Installation note

Install new cotter pin (11).

7 Remove piston rod (3).

8 Unscrew hexagon bolt (7) with lock washer and remove locking device (8).

Installation note

Securely tighten hexagon bolt (7), 10 Nm.

9 Remove bearing pin (9) and remove brake pedal (10).

Installation note

Lubricate bearing pin (9) with long-life grease.

10 Remove bushes (11) on brake pedal.

Installation note

Install new bushes (1).

11 Install in reverse sequence.

12 Adjust lost motion of brake control

(29.5-035).

13 Adjust stop lamp switch (29.5-050)
