29.5-040 Removal and installation of master cylinder
Removal and installation
1 en maintenance flap
2 Extract hydraulic fluid from the reservoir (17).
3 Detach reservoir (17) from master cylinder (18).
4 Unscrew hydraulic pipe (19) on master cylinder (18).
5 Remove left-hand foot mat.
6 Remove trim above clutch pedal.
7 Remove steering shaft trim.
8 Remove eccentric screw (4) and eccentric bush (5).
Installation note
Coat eccentric screw (4) and eccentric bush (5) with Molybdenum running-in paste.
9 Unscrew hexagon bolts (6) and remove master cylinder (3) forwards.
Installation note
- Securely tighten hexagon bolts (6), 10 Nm.
- Seal master cylinder (3) on bearing bracket using Teroson Unionszement.
10 Install in reverse sequence.
11 Adjust lost motion of hydraulic clutch control
(29.5-010).
12 Bleed clutch (29.3-030).
