01-406 Removing and installing cylinder head cover

Ignition cable (16) | unplug at distributor cap (15), plug in. |
Distributor cap (15) | disconnect at high voltage distributor, screw on. Do not apply pressure to screws which are tight, risk of fracturing. Unplug ignition cables if necessary at distributor cap. |
Spark plug connector (d) | unplug from spark plugs, plug in. |
Crankcase ventilation pipe (6) | disconnect, connect. |
If automatic transmission fitted: bracket (b) | unbolt, bolt on. |
Cap nut (96) or hexagon nut (c) | unscrew, screw on, 15 Nm. |
Cylinder head cover (81) | take off together with ignition cables, fit on, pay attention to note. |
Gasket (93) | examine, replace if necessary. |

Note
The spacer sleeves (arrows) at the cylinder head cover prevent the cylinder head cover gasket being squeezed when tightened.
