Detailed installation instructions must be handed out to customers who are installing their trailer hitch themselves (see Retrofitting and converting special equipment in WIS group 31.10). These must be submitted on final inspection.
The vehicle owner's manual contains instructions for the operation and maintenance of the trailer hitch for the vehicle owner.
On various vehicles it is a mandatory requirement to install a more powerful cooling blower motor (see EPC).
