After the filler has dried, all the bodies are provided with different top coat systems without any interim sanding process.
Top coat systems that deviate from the ones used in series production:
water-based paint
2-C clear varnish
MS top coat
In order to ensure that the layers of applied corrosion protection are not damaged, only a certain amount of sanding is performed on the body outer skin (such as, e.g. removing dust inclusions).
The "rough" surface structure left after the painting processes, which is often described as the orange-peel effect, is intentional.
This effect is not a quality defect, but rather one which significantly supports the intended application taking ecological/economic aspects for both manufacturer and user into consideration.
