Location

The driver's airbag is located in the steering wheel.

Task

The driver airbag protects the driver from injuries in the event of a head-on collision. On vehicles with the Canada version or the USA version, the driver's airbag has a two-stage design, whereby an adjustable deployment is reached. The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) control unit directly actuates the driver's airbag squibs.
