The auxiliary heater controller board has the following tasks:
Takeover and execution of timer control commands.
Control and monitoring of all heater operation by actuating
- the combustion and warm air fan,
- the fuel metering pump and
- the glow plug.
Storage of all faults for reading out using STAR DIAGNOSIS.
Monitoring of electrical and electronic components.
Evaluation of signals from flame sensor, temperature sensor and temperature limiter.
Emergency shut-off and locking of switch-on function when unusual operating conditions occur, such as:
- overheating
- flame-out
- undervoltage or overvoltage
- component defect
The built-in temperature sensor allows the controller board to control the heater temperature.
