Purpose | The purpose of the heat exchanger is to conduct the heat energy from the combustion gases in the combustion chamber and the coolant flowing through the heat exchanger insert: The combustion gases heat the wall of the heat exchanger insert. The coolant flowing along the outside of the heat exchanger insert absorbs the heat energy into the coolant circuit. | ||
Design | The heat exchanger is designed using a double wall with the heat exchanger housing on the outside and heat exchanger insert on the inside. The inner wall of the heat exchanger insert forms the combustion chamber. The coolant flows through multiple coils around the outer wall of the heat exchanger insert. The temperature sensor as well as the overheating sensor are installed in the heat exchanger. |
