General
The overhead control panel control unit (1) reads in the operation signals for the interior lighting, the sliding sunroof and the emergency call. On vehicles with interior protection, the overhead control panel control unit (1) also monitors the vehicle interior and detects changes in vehicle inclination. On vehicles with glass breakage sensors, the overhead control panel control unit (1) reads in the corresponding sensor signals. For protection against misuse of the garage door opener, a security code is stored in the overhead control panel control unit (1). In vehicles with gesture recognition system, a hand motion sensor in the overhead control panel control unit (1) detects the hand movements of the driver and front passenger and converts these into operation signals.
Location
The overhead control panel control unit (1) is located in the front section of the roof lining.
