The respective KEYLESS-GO door handle (1) is located on the outside of the corresponding door.
Structure
The following component parts are integrated into the KEYLESS-GO door handles:
Proximity switch (1.1)
Near-field communication sensor (1.2) (only driver's door) (vehicles with vehicle access and drive authorization via mobile phone)
Capacitive sensor on the inside of the door handle
Capacitive sensor on the outside of the door handle
Hall sensor
Outside door handle lighting (depending on the vehicle model, e.g. model 167)
Task
The integrated component parts of the KEYLESS-GO door handles have the following tasks:
The proximity switch (1.1) detects when the KEYLESS-GO door handle is touched (convenience closing request as long as contact exists with the door handle).
The near-field communication sensor (1.2) on the driver's door facilitates the locking/unlocking via the mobile phone or the digital key sticker (vehicles with vehicle access and drive authorization via mobile phone).
The capacitive sensor on the inside of the door handle detects that the KEYLESS-GO door handle has been grasped (unlock vehicle request).
The capacitive sensor on the outside of the door handle detects if someone touches the KEYLESS-GO door handle (lock vehicle request).
The Hall sensor detects anyone tugging on the KEYLESS-GO door handle (emergency opening request after comfort closing).
The outside door handle lightings (depending on the vehicle model) illuminate the door handle areas where the surround lighting is activated.
The electronic ignition lock control unit (model 118, 167, 177, 247) or the KEYLESS-GO control unit (model 213, 238, 257, 290, 293) read in the sensor signals.
The outside door handle lightings (depending on the vehicle model) are actuated by the respective door control unit.
