Task

- Carry exhaust gases to the vehicle rear with low back pressure

- Silence the exhaust gas noise

- Exhaust treatment by catalytic converter and diesel particulate filter, on vehicles with code (MF4) Low-emission engine as per EU4 Group 3 or with code (MS9) engine version Euro 4

Body

The exhaust system consists of a pipe system connected to a rear muffler and on vehicles with code (MF4) Low-emission engine as per EU4 Group 3 or with code (MS9) Engine version Euro 4 also has an oxidation catalytic converter and diesel particulate filter.

Function

On vehicles with code (MF4) Low-emission engine as per EU4 Group 3 or with code (MS9) Engine version Euro 4 the exhaust gases are lead through the oxidation catalytic converter, cleaned and routed through the rear muffler for sound damping. Furthermore particulate matter (particles) (PM) is stored in the DPF and burnt when an appropriate load condition has been reached.
