operation:
The compressed air that activates the (BV) set valves derives from the DE and DS sets.
The brake pedal valve (13.02) uses the stored air on the compressed air tanks (5.01), braking the vehicle when the driver activates the brake pedal. This guarantees that the vehicle has a gradual and proportional braking to the effort applied onto the brake pedal. After it is activated, from the output (21) of the brake pedal valve (13.02), a command pressure flows to the relay valve (16.01), which acts on the fast supply and drain of the dial facing chambers, abbreviating the actuation time of the rear axle cylinders (22.01).
Additionally to output 2 of the relay valve (16.01), there is a test switch (38.02) that allows for inspections of whether the system pressure is correct or not.
The manual parking brake valve (14.12), when activated, allows the progressive application and non-application of the parking brake because it sends a pressure command to the relay valve (16.01), which quickly acts on the accumulator spring chambers' supply and draining, abbreviating the actuation time of the axle cylinder.
Additionally to output 2 of the relay valve (16.01), there is a test switch (38.02) that allows for inspections of whether the system pressure is correct or not.
The parking brake valve (14.12) has a mechanical switch integrated that sends an electric signal directly to the lamp (9.01 - I), informing the driver that the parking brake is applied. This switch is activated every time the parking brake valve (14.12) is applied.
