Survey of summer tires, rims

 The recommended wheel/tire combinations are only applicable if the dimensions are listed in the factory issued registration papers or if a part approval report is available for the particular combination. In the case of wheel/tire combinations which are not listed in the vehicle registration papers, the customer must be issued with an appropriate component/approval certificate.

 All the wheel/tire combinations listed here may only be mounted without additional arrangements if they are listed under Figure 20 to 23 and 33 in the vehicle registration papers or if the required Technical Inspection Association (TÜV) approval reports are available.

The respective size designation of the rim is only obligatory for the vehicle model series listed. Deviations from the permitted contour of the wheel or the brake system (even though the nominal dimensions might be the same as those of the permitted parts) may cause surrounding parts to rub against the wheel or brake system and therefore affect the operational safety of the vehicle.

 In the Federal Republic of Germany, any wheel/tire combinations which necessitate structural alterations to the body and/or chassis require an inspection by an officially approved expert or inspector from a technical motor vehicle inspectorate or by an engineer from an officially approved supervisory organization.

 Unless otherwise specified, all rims are permissible in light-alloy versions only.

 The recommended tire makes are listed in alphabetical order. No suggestion of priority is intended.
