Function

Set constant vehicle frame height for loading or unloading

1 Basic condition:

 Vehicle is stationary

 Leading axle loaded or lift axle lowered.

 Compressed-air system is filled completely, leave the engine running until the pressure governor shuts off.

 NR/ENR operating unit (S50) activated.

 The raise/lower rear indicator lamp (2) lights up and if the vehicle is equipped with full air suspension, the raise/lower front indicator lamp (1) also lights up.

2 The vehicle frame is raised or lowered when the driver presses the raise or lower key (8 or 9). The "vehicle above or below normal level" indicator (11.1 or 11.2) lights up in the NR/ENR display field (11).

3 The control unit (A14.1/A14.2) actuates the NR/ENR valve block (Y27/Y28) at the driven axle and the NR/ENR solenoid valve (Y26) at the front axle of vehicles with full air suspension and the air bellows are pressurized or vented.

4 The vehicle frame and therefore the cargo area has reached the height of the loading ramp.

5 The driver must press and hold down the stop key (10) to retain the frame height.

6 If the driver now turns off the ignition while holding down the stop key, the NR/ENR continues to function and therefore the selected frame height remains constant for 60 minutes when the driver releases the stop key and with the ignition switched off.

 Sufficient compressed air in the compressed-air system is required the entire time for the level control to function correctly and therefore for the frame height of the vehicle to remain constant with the ignition is switched off.
