Location
The dual clutch oil cooling pump is located at the bottom on the end face of the dual clutch transmission.
Function
Power transfer and friction produce heat in the area of the dual clutches, which is absorbed by the transmission oil. The dual clutch oil cooling pump ensures continuous circulation of the transmission oil so that there are no temperature spikes at the clutches and gear sets.
The dual clutch oil cooling pump is actuated by the dual-clutch transmission control unit according to requirements depending on the transmission oil temperature.
