Function
Oil filter
General
The oil sump is pumped off during dry sump lubrication. In so doing, the oil level (A) is minimized and churning losses are thus reduced. Cooling and lubrication occur through a lubricating spider which is mounted in the gear set chamber.
Function
By means of injection through the electrohydraulic controller unit of the fully integrated transmission control, the shafts, dual clutch and gear sets are supplied with oil directly via the lubricating spider. Component parts are lubricated and cooled with this flow volume (B). The oil then converges in the gear set chamber and subsequently runs through the oil filter for prefiltration. The electric auxiliary oil pump (electric tandem pump) draws in the oil and delivers it to the intake chamber.
Through the suction filter unit (secondary suction filter, primary suction filter), the oil reaches the electrohydraulic controller unit of the fully integrated transmission control and electric auxiliary oil pump (electric tandem pump) in a finely filtered state.
The oil pump is driven by a chain.

The oil filters have the following functions:
Oil filter: Prefilters the oil to avoid any clogging of the tandem pump switching valve in the fully integrated transmission control electrohydraulic controller unit
Secondary suction oil filter: On-demand intake and fine filtration upstream of the electric tandem pump
Primary suction oil filter: Continuous intake and fine filtration upstream of the oil pump
Pressurized oil filter element: Improves the efficiency of fine filtration in the oil circuit on the oil pressure side
