Double-cone synchronizer from 4th to 7th gear
Single cone synchronization in reverse gear
General
High torque transfer and frequent shift work, with a simultaneous reduction in shift force, require high-performance synchronization of the shift mechanism.
The multi-cone synchronization from 1st to 7th gear meets these requirements and provides the following advantages during shift operations:
Fast synchronization
High ease of shifting
Low shift forces
The gearwheels of gears 1 to 7 and of the reverse gear are idler gears which can be braked by the synchronization devices can be positively connected to the respective output shaft.

Multiple-cone synchronizer (3-x) from 1st to 3rd gear
A multiple-cone synchronizer is used for synchronization of 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. The crucial components are an additional cone ring (2) between the friction ring (16) and the synchronizer ring (15) and a friction lining on the friction ring (4). The three friction surfaces of the cone and friction rings effectively combine and allow the gears with a multiple-cone synchronizer to be braked and accelerated faster and with less force.
Double-cone synchronizer from 4th to 7th gear
A double-cone synchronizer is used for the synchronization of 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th gear.
Single cone synchronization in reverse gear
A single-cone synchronizer is used for synchronization in reverse gear.
In contrast to double-cone synchronization, there is no cone ring (1) and no friction ring (16).
