The alternator is located on the side of the engine.
Task
The alternator has the following tasks during vehicle operation:
Energy supply of 12 V on-board electrical system
Charging the 12-V on-board electrical system battery
The alternator is networked with the combustion engine control unit. The combustion engine control unit controls the power output of the alternator.
