General
Various controller types are stored in the engine management (MR) control unit for the rpm control of the power take-off. These may be requested differently when a power take-off is switched on, depending on the area of application of the vehicle or engine, and depending on how the parameters are set for the power take-off functions in the drive control (CPC) control unit.
The drive control (CPC) control unit transmits the request via drive train CAN to operate ancillaries at their working speed.
Function
The working speed is regulated as soon as the engine management (MR) control unit has a corresponding request from the drive control (CPC) control unit.
The drive control (CPC) control unit transmits the following requirements to the engine management (MR) control unit via drive train CAN:
Controller type for the regulation of the working speed (for power take-off)
Minimum engine speed
Maximum engine speed
Constant rpm control
Before the engine management (MR) control unit regulates the working speed, the power take-off must be completely engaged.
The engine management (MR) control unit uses this information to ultimately select the stored characteristics map for the requested controller type and regulates the working speed according to the set parameters through the corresponding actuation of the single injection pumps for cylinders 1 to 6 as well as the optimal actuation period (injection quantity).
