E Breather
A Fuel pressure in interior of pump
C Return flow to fuel tank
| Distributor injection pump | ||
Task | Allowing a defined quantity of fuel (determined by the restrictor) to flow back to the fuel tank Maintaining fuel pressure (A) in interior of pump Bleeding distributor injection pump at start | ||
Function | The overflow valve with restrictor (15/1) alows a variable quantity of fuel (C) to flow back to the fuel tank over the spring-tensioned slide (c) and the drilling (a). The drilling (a) 0.7 mm represents a resistance, as a result of which the fuel pressure (A) is retained in the interior of the pump. The bypass (b) 0.2 mm in the slide (c) is used for achieving better breathing during start. |
