Belt protection:

To date the AC compressor was switched off by the engine assembly control module (N16) when hard to turn.

After installation of the electro-magnetic clutch it takes over the belt protection function.

A melting element is located in the magnetic coil of the clutch for the AC compressor, which switches off the locked up AC compressor as a result of the heat developed by the slipping poly-V-belt.The previous slip recognition via speed sensor in the AC compressor has been eliminated, for this reason the electrical connector now has only one pole.

When the melting safety element is defective the AC compressor must be replaced completely, because it must be assumed that the AC compressor is defective mechanically.
