The metering device (1) was equipped with a resistance heating element (R28). The heating element (R28) is located in the inside of the metering device (1) and is supplied via an electrical connection with voltage.
The heating element (R28) is connected to the engine control (MR) control unit via an additional wiring harness.
 Since approx. October 2006, only the changed metering devices (1) have been installed in the series and delivered as a replacement part via the GLC.
Vehicles, with a metering device (1) without heating element (R28) must be converted in the event of repair work.
For these vehicles, a new metering device (1) with heating element (R28) and a wiring harness must be installed and an MR download must be carried out.
