Affix flat drawing tool to the bores using the two tensioning bolts and then tighten the tensioning bolts.
Using the bolted on flat drawing tool make 4 bores Ø 7.5 mm (3) for the heater attachment and 1 bore Ø 7.5 mm (4) for the fuel connection at the engine tunnel.
Remove the flat drawing tool.
Drill the two bores for the tensioning bolts for the exhaust line and the combustion air intake line from Ø 12 mm to Ø 26 mm.
Drill bore (4) for fuel connection from Ø 7.5 mm to Ø 18 mm.
Deburr all holes and treat with corrosion protection.
Place floor covering back onto the engine tunnel and cut out in area of bores to match the contour of the heater flange.
To mark the surface of the cut, push through the floor covering at the fastening holes from below. Remove the preassembled flange gasket from the heater unit and use as a template.
