1 Mark 2 holes according to illustration on the left side of the vehicle floor and drill 12 mm holes at the marked positions.
a = 545 mm
b = 55 mm
c = 115 mm
On vehicles with longitudinal struts in drilling area, dimension
c = 180 mm.

2 Move floor covering near both holes to one side.
3 Fit cross drawing tool with both tensioning bolts to the holes and tighten tensioning tools.
4 With the help of the fitted cross drawing tool drill 4 holes into the floor, 7.5 mm (3), for attachment of the heater and 1 hole, 7.5 mm (4) for the fuel connection.
5 Remove cross drawing tool.
6 Enlarge the two tensioning bolt holes from 12 mm to 26 mm for the exhaust gas pipe and combustion air induction pipe.
7 Deburr the holes and apply corrosion inhibitor.
8 Replace the floor covering in vicinity of the drilled holes and cut out according to the shape of the heater flange.
To mark the cutting area, punch through the holes from underneath. Remove the pre-assembled flange gasket from the heater and use as template.
