AS07.03-B-0001-01A | Risk of explosion caused by test oil being ignited. Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by test oil streaming out | Remove the flammable sources from the danger zone. Only check the injectors in testing equipment for injectors. Do not touch the injection nozzle jet. | Danger! |
Possible dangers
Risk of explosion!
The test oil coming out at injection nozzles testing is under high pressure and finely atomized. The testing oil mist originated this way is flammable and may cause an explosion if combined with sources of ignition, such as electric sparks, cigarettes or flame.
Risk of injuries!
When touching the nozzle jet, this can penetrate deeply in the skin and destroy tissue. The Diesel fuel or testing oil reaching blood vessels may cause septicemia.
Behavior norms/ measures of protection
- Keep away from fuel injection equipment, all sources of ignition such as electric sparks, cigarettes and flame.
- Do not test injection nozzles in open air, only in injection nozzles testing equipment.
- Keep the injection nozzles jet away from skin and eyes.
Measures of first aid
Clean the wounds.
If septicemia is suspected, bandage the affected body part and seek medical help.
