Preparation for painting rear fender
1 Rear-end door open.
2 Remove taillamp (1).
3 Tape off taillamp cutout.
4 Mask off rear bumper (2).
In the case of severe damage, loosen rear bumper (2), tape off and remove if necessary.
5.1 Remove tank cap.
6 Remove roof paneling cover strip (3).
7 Tape off rear-end door, front and rear door trim strip.
8 Tape off rear longitudinal member area, loosen and tape off if necessary.
9 Remove ornamental frames (4) and (5).
10 Tape off seal in door sill area.

Paint rear fender excluding the front surface
11 Tape off front fender and engine hood at A-pillar.
12 Tape off area of roof paneling cover strip (3) and windshield at A-pillar.
13 Mask off rear fender fold to the luggage compartment.
14 Cover rear-end door, front and rear doors from the inside.
15 Tape off front and rear door sills to side piece with Soft-tape.
16 Close doors.

17 Cover inside of wheel well.
18.1 Cover fuel filler neck.
19 Completely cover vehicle with masking paper.
Avoid paint fog in the vehicle interior.

Paint rear fender with front surface (A1) and area under paneling (B1)
20 Remove rear door with door rubber seal.
21 Remove door lock bracket.
22 Remove door sill seal.
23 Remove door sill moldings.
24 Mask off rear fender fold to the luggage compartment.
Commensurate with the level of damage, open the front and rear-end doors and cover large area; remove if necessary.
25 Completely cover door sill from the inside.
26 Tape off all side panel openings from the inside.
27 Cover rear side window.
28.1 Cover fuel filler neck.
29 Completely cover vehicle with masking paper.
Avoid paint fog in the vehicle interior.
