Cover all vents (arrow) on pneumatic valves to be preserved.
Do not treat the ventilations (arrow) of the pneumatic valves with anti-corrosion wax or underbody protection. Otherwise malfunction or failure can occur on the compressed air and brake system.
2
Treat the surface of the affected pneumatic valves with anti-corrosion wax.
Only for vehicles with code Y64(Tectyl underbody protection) Do not use any other product above or below the applied Tectyl 846-K-19 anti-corrosion wax. Otherwise, chemical incompatibilities may result that impair the properties of the Tectyl 846-K-19 anti-corrosion wax.
Only for vehicles without code Y64 (Tectyl underbody protection) Use anti-corrosion wax 3650. The wet layer thickness must be approx. 30 to 60 μm.
Only for vehicles with code Y64(Tectyl underbody protection) Use Tectyl 846-K-19 anti-corrosion wax. The wet layer thickness must be approx. 120 to 150 μm.
3
Only for vehicles without code Y64 (Tectyl underbody protection) Apply underfloor protection agent to pneumatic valves treated previously.
Before applying underbody protection, maintain an intermediate flash-off time of at least 5 minutes. The dry layer thickness must be approx. 300 to 500 μm.
4
Remove all covers from vents (arrow) on pneumatic valves.
Do not cover ventilation (arrow) on pneumatic valves. Otherwise malfunction or failure can occur on the compressed air and brake system.
