Completely cover brake disks with suitable objects.
Perform only if corrosion protection wax or underbody protection is applied in the vicinity of the brake disks.
2
Cover all brake hoses (1) with protective foils (2).
Perform only if corrosion protection wax or underbody protection is applied in the vicinity of the brake hoses (1).
Do not paint the brake hoses (1) or treat them with corrosion protection wax or underbody protection. Otherwise the brake hoses (1) can be damaged.
3
Apply corrosion protection wax to components.
Only for vehicles with code Y64 (Tectyl underbody protection) No additional product is used above or under the applied corrosion protection wax Tectyl 846-K-19. Otherwise, chemical incompatibility may occur, which impairs the property of the Tectyl 846-K-19 corrosion protection wax.
Only for vehicles without code Y64 (Tectyl underbody protection) Use corrosion protection wax 3650. The wet layer thickness must be approx. 30 to 60 μm.
Only for vehicles with code Y64 (Tectyl underbody protection) Use corrosion protection wax Tectyl 846-K-19. The wet layer thickness must be approx. 120 to 150 μm.
4
Only for vehicles without code Y64 (Tectyl underbody protection) Apply underfloor protection agent to components treated previously.
Before applying the underbody protection, an intermediate flash-off time of at least 5 min must be complied with. The dry layer thickness must be approx. 300 to 500 μm.
