Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (at least 2 m)

Disconnect ground line of battery

Remove both screws/bolts (arrow) at left and right

 Bolt, airbag to steering wheel

 Screwdriver bit

Lift driver airbag off steering wheel and release and disconnect electrical connector from squib on gas generator

 Removal lever

Remove driver airbag from steering wheel

Install in the reverse order



Check

Check and erase vehicle fault memory using the diagnostic system

When replacing the driver airbag.


