Danger! | Risk of injury caused by release of spring in the automatic belt retractor is released. | Never disassemble automatic belt retractors. | |
1 | Switch off ignition, detach transmitter key from electronic ignition switch control unit | On vehicles with code (889) Keyless go: Press keyless go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off. Remove the transmitter key from the vehicle and store at a location that is beyond the transmitter range (min. 2 m). | |
2 | Remove rear seat and rear seat backrest | ||
3 | Unscrew bolt (2) | | |
4 | Unscrew nuts (1) | ||
5 | Remove automatic belt retractor (4) with retainer (5) | ||
6 | Unscrew bolt (3) | | |
7 | Remove automatic belt retractor (4) from retainer (5) | ||
8 | Install in the reverse order | ||
9 | Perform function check |
