Remove seat belt end fitting (11) at B-pillar

Remove seat belt guide bracket (5) at seat belt height adjuster (4)

Remove paneling on B-pillar

Detach plug (7) on driver seat belt tensioner squib (R12/1) or front passenger seat belt tensioner squib (R12/2)

Remove automatic seat belt retractor (6) at B-pillar

 Note different versions (right/left) of automatic seat belt retractor and ensure correct seating in catches (arrows).

 If the seat belt retractor is replaced, the defective one must be disposed of properly and in an environmentally-appropriate way.
