 	Remove/install
1	Remove left or right rear seat cushion	 The right rear seat cushion must always be removed.	AR91.12-P-1020EL
2	Remove left or right side bolster		AR91.12-P-1710CW
3	Remove bolt (6) from center pivot bearing (8)
4	Unlock left rear backrest (2) or right rear backrest (1) and fold forward
5	Remove bolts (9) from right outer pivot bearing (10)	When removing right rear backrest (1).
		 Installation: Align outer right pivot bearing (10).

6	Remove bolts (4) from left outer pivot bearing (3)	When removing left rear backrest (2).
		 Installation: Align outer left pivot bearing (3).

7	Swivel bearing bracket (7) upwards
8	Expose and detach electrical connector for rear seat heater in area of outer pivot bearing	With code (872) Electrically heated left and right rear seats
9	Lift left rear backrest (2) or right rear backrest (1) and disconnect electrical connector (5) at left rear backrest inclination switch (S54/5) or right rear backrest inclination switch (S54/6)
10	Pull seat belt to one side and remove left rear backrest (2) or right rear backrest (1) from the vehicle	 Remove left rear backrest (2) or right rear backrest (1) from the vehicle carefully, otherwise the rear door and the entrance area could be damaged.
11	Install in the reverse order
