6 | Push back retaining bracket (6) of connectors (5) with screwdriver | ||
7 | Disconnect connectors (5) of left and right seat heater (4-pin) (X54/12) | Only on vehicles with code H10 (Driver and front passenger seat heater). | |
8 | Loosen left and right backrest screws/bolts (7) | ||
9 | Unhook left and right springs (8) | Make sure that the seat cover is not damaged. | |
10 | Remove backrest screws/bolts (7) on left and right | Installation: Install backrest screw/bolt (7) with thread locking compound. | |

11 | Mark routing of electrical line for backrest heater | ||
12 | Remove backrest (9) | Installation: Ensure that spring (8) is seated correctly. Observe marking of electrical line for backrest heater. | |
13 | Set down backrest (9) on a suitable base. | ||
14 | Install in the reverse order | ||
15 | Check proper operation of seat heaters | Only on vehicles with code H10 (Driver and front passenger seat heater). |
