1 | Open fuel filler flap (4) | Vehicle should not be locked. | |
2 | Unlock lock catch (5) with suitable tool, slide fuel filler flap flap (4) in direction of arrow and remove from fuel filler flap inner section (7) | ||
3 | Remove retaining strap from fuel filler flap inner section (7) | ||
4 | Unscrew tank cap (2) and remove with retaining strap | ||
5 | Unscrew bolts (8). | ||
6 | Loosen tank recess (1) and remove from tank filler neck | ||
| Install | ||
7 | Install lip (3) of tank recess (1) over tank filler neck | Carefully install lip (3) of tank recess (1) over tank filler neck to prevent tearing | |
Coat lip (3) of tank recess (1) with lubricant | |||
Antifriction agent | |||
8 | Align tank recess (1) and screw in bolts (8) | ||
9 | Screw tank cap (2) to filler neck | Check tank cap (2), seal in tank cap (2) and retaining strap for damage.Completely replace tank cap (2) if only one of the components mentioned is damaged. | |
10 | Install retaining strap on fuel filler flap inner section (7) | ||
11 | Position fuel filler flap (4) with guides (6) on fuel filler flap inner section (7), slide fuel filler flap (4) in opposite direction until lock catch (5) arrests perceptibly | Check fuel filler flap (4) for damage, replace if required. | |
12 | Close fuel filler flap (4) |
