Open engine compartment flap (1)

Separate electrical connectors (2)

Risk of injury in the form of trapping or crushing when working on gas-filled telescopic struts

Remove or install gas-filled telescopic struts only when device in stress-relieved position and components are in proper working order and correctly secured.

Remove gas pressure struts (3) from engine compartment flap

Support engine compartment flap with helper.

Unscrew screws (4) and remove engine compartment flap (1)

5

Install in the reverse order
