Remove spiral spring (10).

Remove engine hood catch upper section (3)

Position engine hood (1) on stop buffer (8, 9).

Check engine hood fit (1) to front fender and adjust stop buffer (8, 9) if necessary

 Adjust height of stop buffer (8, 9); stop buffer (8) can additionally be adjusted in the transverse direction

 The engine hood (1) should not distort to side with stop buffer (8)

 Gaps on hoods, doors and lids

Loosen bolts (7) on engine hood hinge and adjust engine hood (6)



 Engine hood hinge on engine hood

Install engine hood catch upper section (3)



Adjust height of bracket (5) on engine hood catch upper section (3) with adjustment nut (4)



 The closed engine hood (1) should only be tensioned slightly in the area of the engine hood catch upper section (3)

Install spiral spring (10)

Check whether engine hood catch catches properly by closing engine hood and pulling upward with a jerk.

 Engine hood must (1) fall automatically into the engine hood catch from a height of 100 - 130 mm (measured above fender tip) and lock.

Release engine hood and check whether retaining hood on upper frame cross member is arrested.

 Red arrow on release lever must be visible at least 9 mm
