1 | Unscrew bolts (3) and remove license plate bracket (4) from bumper covering (1) | ||
2 | Remove expansion clips (29) and remove left and right retaining strips (5) from bumper covering (1) | ||
3 | Unclip sensors (A42b1, A42b2, A42b3, A42b4, A42b5, A42b6) from bumper covering (1) | | |
4 | Remove expansion clips (6) and remove PTS wiring harness (7) together with sensors (A42b1, A42b2, A42b3, A42b4, A42b5, A42b6) | Assembly: Route PTS wiring harness (7) into corresponding recesses in impact dampers (9, 11, 14). | |
5 | Press lug (8) and remove left impact damper (9) | ||
6 | Press lug (10) and remove right impact damper (11) | ||
7 | Unhook left and right frame (18) from radiator paneling (12) (arrow) and unclip from catch hooks (13) | | |
8 | Lift lugs (8, 10) and remove center impact damper (14) together with license plate mounting plates (15) | Assembly: Ensure that both license plate mounting plates (15) are seated properly between center impact damper (14) and bumper covering (1). | |
9 | Unclip air inlet grate (16) on catch hooks (17) from bumper covering (1) and remove | | |
10 | Remove expansion clips (30) from left and right frame (18) | ||
11 | Unclip left and right frame (18) at catch hooks (19) from bumper covering (1) and remove | | |
Assembly: Ensure that catch hooks (19) are seated correctly in bumper covering (1). | |||
12 | Unscrew bolts (20) and remove left fog lamp (E5/1) from left frame (18) | ||
13 | Unscrew bolts (21) and remove right fog lamp (E5/2) from right frame (18) | ||
14 | Unclip retaining clips (22) from left and right fog lamp cover (23) | ||
15 | Unclip left and right fog lamp cover (23) at catch hooks (24) and remove from bumper covering (1) | | |
16 | Remove radiator paneling (12) | Only if required because radiator paneling (12) is destroyed when removed | |
17 | Remove towing device cover (25) from bumper covering (1) | ||
18 | Remove expansion clips (26) and remove left and right telescoping nozzle cover (27) from bumper covering (1) | For vehicles with code (600) Headlamp cleaning system | |
Assembly: Ensure that catch hooks (28) are seated correctly in bumper covering (1). | |||
