Releasing malfunction lockout with hand-held tester.
1 Connect hand-held tester to data link connector (X11/4).
2 Reset malfunction lockout with menu "air conditioning, heater booster".
If a corresponding module is not present for the hand-held tester, see step 3.
A Model 168, fuse 34
3 In event of malfunction lockout pull fuse (heater booster) for 10 seconds.
Prerequisite:
Switch ignition off and wait for approx. 60 seconds, switch ignition on, and start engine.
Proceed as follows to release the malfunction lockout:
- Pull heater booster fuse for 10 seconds (heater booster is reset) and reinsert.
